Homemade Hummus with Pita Chips

A delicious recipe for the office

INGREDIENTS

1

can of chickpeas, drained and rinsed

3

tablespoons of tahini

2

cloves of garlic

juice of 1 lemon

1 teaspoon

of ground cumin

1/2

teaspoon of paprika

salt and pepper to taste

1/4

cup of extra virgin olive oil

2-3

tablespoons of water (to adjust consistency)

method

STEP 1

Start by thoroughly rinsing the chickpeas under running water to remove any residue.

STEP 2

Place chickpeas, tahini, garlic, lemon juice, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper in a food processor.

STEP 3

Blend the ingredients until you achieve a smooth consistency, pausing occasionally to scrape down the sides of the food processor.

STEP 4

While the processor is running, slowly pour the olive oil through the feed tube.

STEP 5

If the hummus is too thick, add water one tablespoon at a time until you reach the desired consistency.

STEP 6

Taste and adjust salt and pepper according to your preference.

STEP 7

Transfer the hummus to a bowl, drizzle with a bit of olive oil, and sprinkle with a dash of paprika.

STEP 8

Serve with fresh vegetable sticks and, of course, delicious pieces of La Mole Pita Chips!
